A video from Pat Condell rebutting the argument that atheists are too aggressive. It's very rare that I see, hear or read of someone as... let's say enthusiastic... about this as I am. So here it is:

I love Pat Condell very much! He is friggin' brilliant, and I love his flat out honesty.

I dislike Aggressive Atheists. They're often just as dogmatic as the idiots they are opposed to. As if they have same sort of direct line to Teh Truth that the religious fuckheads claim to have, just in some sort of freaky negative inverse.

Me, I'm an Aggressive Agnostic. I don't know shit. You don't know shit. That guy over there doesn't know shit. No one knows shit so everyone shut the fuck up. I hate you all.

Present company excluded, of course.

EDIT: I should clarify that I do agree with pretty much everything Pat had to say about religion in that video. Good stuff. Although implying that Christianity or Islam (etc) is absolutely false is not provable or disprovable due to a complete lack of any evidence, so I couldn't agree with that particular stance. I just hope to hell they're false because all those versions of God they've got there are some downright evil sons of bitches. Yewah makes people like Stalin and Kim Jong-Il look like Mother Teressa in comparison.

Incidentally, Mother Theresa wasn't... entirely honest. Her "miracle" that won her sainthood was a hoax.

Fair enough. Even Mother Teressa isn't Mother Teressa. But at least she's no Yewah.

I personally appreciate Pat's take on tolerance.

No, I don't have to be tolerant of everyone.

I don't have to tolerate rape and violence.

I don't have to tolerate aggression and sexism.

I don't have to tolerate child abuse and ignorance.

The idea that I have to be tolerant of religions that allow these things is absurd and wrong.
